Relationship Therapy for Couples

You and your partner want to reconnect, but you don’t know where to start. You feel stuck in a pattern of conflict and frustration, desperately seeking those moments of peace and connection.

Whether the challenges you’re facing as a couple are misunderstood expectations, difficulty resolving conflict, finances, child-rearing issues, infidelity, or a lack of intimacy, the good news is that the problem is never the problem. How you and your partner have been attempting to solve the problem is the problem.

In therapy, I can help you and your partner learn how to communicate and navigate difficult topics. We’ll examine the patterns of behavior demonstrated by each partner, known as your attachment style, and explore how these patterns are impacting and influencing your relationship. Together, you’ll learn how to accept your past and show up in the present in a more confident and aligned partnership. Through learning how to accept and attune yourselves to each other, you’ll experience a more authentic and fulfilled relationship.

Relationship Therapy for Families

You feel disconnected as a family. You’re stuck in a cycle of conflict and feel like you can’t break through the walls being put up. You want to erase these destructive patterns and restore your family unit, but your family struggles to be open and honest with each other. Connecting through vulnerability is uncomfortable and avoided at all costs. 


It’s possible for your family to learn how to be vulnerable and communicate more effectively. In therapy, we’ll work on rebuilding trust and creating more peace and harmony in the home. We’ll work through big decisions and areas of conflict in a healthy and safe environment to support you in connecting and understanding each other.

HOW WE’LL WORK TOGETHER

  • During this 15-minute call, we’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you hope to achieve, and how I can best support you on your journey. We will also utilize this time to answer any questions you may have.

  • During our first session, I’ll get to know you by asking questions and listening to you share about your current challenges. We’ll discuss your goals, conceptualize what’s going on, and identify what will be the most helpful path forward for you. Based on your goals, we will create an individualized treatment plan which will include your estimated length of treatment and frequency of sessions.

  • During our first month, we’ll spend an hour each week diving deeper into what has brought you to therapy by bringing awareness to the root cause of what is troubling you, while also actively working towards helping you experience relief from your anxiety and discomfort. As treatment continues, we’ll continue to meet on a consistent basis and continue addressing the root cause of your troubles. By addressing both the symptoms and the root of the symptoms, you will experience profound and long-term change

  • I use the Gottman Method and Emotion-Focused Therapy. In therapy, we’ll work on improving the communication in your relationship as we learn how to manage and resolve conflict in a constructive way. As we navigate challenges that arise, we’ll work on increasing your awareness and acceptance of the emotions underlying your conflict. Through therapy, you’ll develop stronger bonds with your partner or loved ones, gain a deeper awareness of their needs, and experience a better relationship with your emotions.

  • No, I do not provide therapy for couples experiencing infidelity.

  • The length of time you will need is unique to your experiences, circumstances, and goals. During our first session together, we can create a plan that works best for you and your goals.
